Behind The Scenes

May 08, 2026
Hello House League Families & Players!

SAVE THE DATE!!
This year's photo day for all House League Teams will be held on SATURDAY JUNE 13th
The Make-Up day will be on TUESDAY JUNE 15th in the evening.

This year, the studio is setting up at our Cedarvale Office located at 185 Main Street S, Georgetown. It will be indoors, so rain or shine, it's happening!

Answers to FAQ:
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to your team's scheduled slot so the studio helpers can get your team organized
  • Arrive in FULL UNIFORM
  • Bring your favourite bat or glove
  • Actual picture taking will be approx. 15 mins per team. Yup ... the whole team in 15-20 minutes!
  • You must arrive during your team's time slot. You cannot come anytime as the Studio puts together a tight schedule and that is how they stay on time
  • If you cannot make it on Saturday, June 13th, the Make-Up day is the only other opportunity to get your player's picture taken
  • What you get: A Memory Mate photo that has your player on one side and the team photo on the same page.
  • You will NOT be getting proofs and then be able to order more prints at a later date. This is not the same as School Picture Day. Extra prints need to be ordered on Photo Day
    • We are using the same studio as 2025. If you have a friend that had their player's photos done last year, you can see the quality
  • If you do not get your player's picture taken, they will not receive a team photo
  • Picture Day and Make-Up Day cannot be rescheduled.

More information will be provided closer to the date on the specific time for your team. Requested times are not being accepted.

We look forward to seeing you smile!

Hello HHMBA House League Families,

The volunteer board of directors hope you're as excited as we are for the season ahead!

We wanted to share an update on house league team assignments, coaches, and uniforms.

As you may have already seen, teams have been built and shared with the majority of our divisions (please see below for an update about 15U and 18U). We're very happy with how they've come together so far.
That said, please note that assignments are subject to change, particularly at the 11U level.

Going forward, roster changes will only be made to accommodate coaching needs and to balance the teams.
We are still working on filling a few coaching spots, and any families affected by a resulting roster adjustment will be notified directly through the RAMP Team App as soon as possible.
Need help with the RAMP Team App? Check out our FAQs: https://www.hhmba.ca/content/ramp-team-app-faqs (Make sure you are signing in with the same email address you registered your child with!)

We are also actively looking for volunteer coaches for our 11U, 13U, and 15U divisions.
If you or someone you know is interested in coaching, please reach out to Laurissa at laurissa.wakefield@hhmba.ca
We would love to hear from you!

On the schedule front, we are currently waiting on Milton to release their schedule before we can finalize the 15U schedule. For our 18U families, we expect the schedule to be released by the end of the day.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we put the finishing touches on our teams and coaching lineup. Our goal is to get every team set up for a great season, and we're almost there!

IMPORTANT: Today's uniform pick-up is for COACHES ONLY. You will hear from your child's coach for how to receive their uniform (e.g., at the first practice, at a meeting spot).

Thank you and enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Halton Hills Minor Baseball Association

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU

Putting together a season of this scale takes an enormous amount of effort, and none of it would be possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteer board. These individuals have spent countless hours - evenings, weekends, and everything in between - on registration, scheduling, field coordination, uniforms, communications, and so much more. We are grateful for their commitment to this community, and we thank you, our families, for your patience as everything came together.

We look forward to a wonderful season ahead.

See you on the diamonds!

March 31, 2026

As we get closer to the start of the 2026 season, the Board of Directors wanted to give you a behind the scenes look at how we put House League teams together. Our volunteers (Board of Directors) put a tremendous amount of work into this process and we want to make sure every family knows what to expect.

To give you a sense of the scale: this year, with over 700 players across ~58 teams, our volunteers reviewed and processed over 350 individual friend requests. Every one was read, tracked, and factored into team assignments.
We are no longer taking friend requests as our volunteers have already started to build teams.
We continue to not be able to accommodate specific jersey requests (e.g., Blue Jays).

Here is what guides our team building:

• Siblings in the same division are always placed together. This is a guarantee, not a best effort.

• Friend requests are honoured whenever possible. This season, we were able to accommodate over 90% of friend requests across all divisions. The small number we could not fulfill were cases where honouring the request would have created a significantly unbalanced team, or where the requested player was not registered in the same division.

• Teams are balanced by experience, so every team gets a fair mix of returning and new players. This keeps the season fun and competitive for everyone.

• Coach preferences and transportation needs are also factored in wherever we can.

How you can help us get it right next season:

• Submit friend requests through RAMP during registration, not by separate email. This ensures nothing gets lost.

• Double check that the friend your child is requesting is registered in the same age group. A surprising number of requests each year name players who are not registered or are in a different division, and there is nothing we can do with those.

• One or two specific friend requests give us the best chance of success. Large group requests are much harder to accommodate.

We take this process seriously and are always working to make it better. Thanks for trusting us with your kids' season!

You can expect to learn about the upcoming season by mid-April.

Thank you!
