We wanted to provide everyone with an update on our plans for the 22U age level (Players born in the years 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005) for the 2024 baseball season.
We are happy to announce that Paul Alves will be returning as our head coach for the 22U Team 1 team. Paul can be contacted at palves314@gmail.com.
At this point we still have not determined if we will have a 22U Team 2 for next year. This will be based on the number of players that sign up and attend tryouts and the availability of coaching resources.
In order to evaluate players and select teams prior to the return to school in the fall we would like to move ahead with tryouts in August again so we wanted to provide you with the details on how this will work.

In order to be considered for either of the two 22U teams you will need to register using our online registration system. For the 22U teams only there will be no registration fee as we do not provide tryout shirts for these players. You must complete a registration in order to be eligible for consideration on either team.

We have scheduled the following tryout times:
Tryout #1 - Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 7:00-10:00 - TSP3
Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 8:30 - 11:00 - TSP3 (RAINED OUT)
Tryout #2 - Friday, August 25, 2023 at 8:30 - 11:00 - TSP3
Tryout #3 - Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 7:00 - FG1
NOTE: Tryout #3 will now be used to finalize 22U Team 2.

Offer Process
Coach Paul will begin making offers to players after the 2nd tryout. Once an offer is received the player has 24 hours to accept the offer and to pay a non-refundable registration deposit fee of $150. This will offset the spring registration fee which we expect to be in the $475 range but will be determined in the spring once we finalize our budget and get updated pricing from the town. By paying this fee you are securing your spot on the team for the 2024 season. The remainder will be paid prior to the start of the season. Any player who is extended an offer to join the 22U team must accept the offer or you will not be eligible to join a 2nd 22U team if one is created.
If there is a 2nd team then both coaches will finalize offers after the third tryout however we may need to add an additional tryout time slot.
